The boys basketball regular seasons in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference and Baltimore Catholic League were completed Sunday and now it's on to the playoffs.
The MIAA tournament gets started on Tuesday with quarterfinal round play, followed by the semifinals on Thursday and the championship game set for 5:30 p.m. Sunday at UMBC.
Here's a look at this week's MIAA tournament schedule with seedings in parentheses:
Tuesday's quarterfinals
John Carroll (5) at Archbishop Spalding (4), 7 p.m.
Mount Carmel (6) at St. Frances (3), 7:30 p.m.
Thursday's semifinals
John Carroll-Archbishop Spalding winner at Mount St. Joseph (1), TBA
Mount Carmel-St. Frances winner at Calvert Hall (2), TBA
Sunday's championship (at UMBC)
Semifinal winners, 5:30 p.m.
The BCL Tournament will open Friday, Feb. 21 with the quarterfinals, followed by Feb. 23 semifinals and the championship game on Feb. 24. The entire tournament will take place at UMBC.
Calvert Hall and Mount St. Joseph were declared regular season co-champions after both finished 11-3 in the league. Calvert Hall claimed the top seed after winning a coin toss.
