Archbishop Curley to induct second class into school's athletic hall of fame

Five new members to enter Curley's athletic hall of fame. Ceremony set for Oct. 15.

Archbishop Curley has announced five members set to be inducted into the school’s athletic hall of fame. The ceremony will take place at halftime of the annual homecoming football game to be held on October 15. The Friars will play St. Mary's with game time set for 1:30 p.m.

The hall's second class is comprised of Jim Hessenhauer (1985, cross country/track), Onas “Butch” Jansen (1979, wrestling/football), Jeremy Rallo (1989 track/football), and John Tucker (1979 lacrosse/football).  To be inducted posthumously is former track and football coach Jack “Tag” Targarona.

In addition to being recognized during halftime, inductees will be honored at a dinner following the game. They also will have their names displayed on a commemorative shield on the hall of fame wall located in the lobby of the athletic wing.
