The second annual National High School Lacrosse Showcase, which features many of the top high school teams in the country, will take place from Friday through Sunday at Blandair Regional Park in Columbia.
The tournament includes 38 teams from 12 states and Washington, D.C., with Boys' Latin, Calvert Hall, Gilman, McDonogh and St. Paul's as the area teams participating.
Boys' Latin coach Bob Shriver and McDonogh's Andy Hilgartner are the founders of the event, which is sponsored by Rabil/Warrior. Each team will play six games with a championship format. Admission is free and there will be food and lacrosse vendors.
Last year, Georgetown Prep won the inaugural championship.
