Boys indoor track performers to watch.

Taylor Baranoski

Eastern Tech, senior

He's coming off a strong cross country season where he won the Class 2A state title. Last winter, Baranoski took second in the 1,600 and fourth in the 800 at the state meet.

Kyle Bryant

Liberty, senior

Bryant has developed into a strong pole vaulter. He won the Class 2A pole vault state title both indoors and outdoors last year and also can run if the Lions need it.

Dalton Hengst

McDonogh, junior

Hengst is one of the state's best distance runners. He's won the last two MIAA cross country championships and swept the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 in last winter's conference title meet.

Michael Nash

Hereford, senior

Last winter, Nash won most of his competitions in the shot put before taking second in the Class 2A state meet. He won the Baltimore County and Central Region titles.

Will Henderson

Poly, senior

Henderson has committed to Penn State and can score points in many ways. Last winter, he won the Class 3A 55, took second in the 55 hurdles and third in the long jump.

Stephon Torrence

Digital Harbor, senior

Torrence can help the Rams in sprints, hurdles and relays. He finished second in the state in the Class 4A 55 hurdles and ran on the winning 1,600 relay team.

Alex Whittaker

Mount Saint Joseph, senior

Whittaker helped the Gaels win the MIAA cross country title with his third-place finish in the championship meet. He'll be a top distance runner indoors.

Lucas Wright

McDonogh, senior

He and Dalton Hengst give the Eagles a powerful 1-2 combination in distance running. Wright took second in the MIAA A Conference cross country championships this past fall.

Tory Young

Gilman, senior

Young gives an already-deep Gilman team more punch in sprints and relays. Last winter, he won the 500 at the MIAA championship meet.

Rahul Reddy

River Hill, senior

He led the way as the Hawks crushed the field en route to the Class 3A state title in cross country. Reddy finished second in the state and should have another good season indoors.
