I've always wanted to play at a big school. She [Adair] told me, "Why can't we be a big school? Why can't we make a name for ourself?"
Do you like opportunity to come in and try to build something?
I love it. It's like a mountain that you climb to reach a goal. It's not like you come into a franchise that's already good. You come in, you work hard, you make that name for that team or that organization, so they can be at the top.

Why do you want to become an orthodontist?
I had my braces on for four years and I found it interesting how [the orthodontists] performed their tasks. I just find it interesting, and I love teeth — perfect teeth. I just got these [lower braces] this summer, so I have two more months.
What's something most people don't know about you?
That I'm not quiet. Once you get to know me, then you find out that I'm not quiet at all.
What's your most prized possession and why?
A picture of my dad. He passed away when I was a freshman. It helps me remember him and I work to make him happy with what I'm doing.
How did that shape you, after he passed away?
I was really down, but I couldn't be down for long, because that wouldn't help anything. It would just make things worse, so I just continue to work hard and prosper to get where I am today.
What do you do for fun, in your spare time?
I love to shop for shoes and clothes.
Are you a fashionista?
Do you hope for some snow days this winter?
Yes. I love the snow plus I'm a senior, so the snow days we get out of school won't count against us.
What do you do on snow days?
Eat and watch TV.
What moment of your sporting life would you most like to live over?
One time I was in AAU and we were down by 10. Two of our starting guards fouled out and I was the only one left and I won the game for us. I had like 30 points. That was the first time I ever scored 30 points.
What role do you think sports has played in making you the person you are today?
Without sports, I think I would be, not in trouble, but a whole different person. I wouldn't be as focused. In order to have sports you must have academics. Academics is really important. Sports just creates character and part of character is wanting to do well.
Who to you look up to?
I look up to my favorite athlete, Kevin Durant [small forward for the Oklahoma City Thunder]. He reminds me of myself. He's long, slinky. I love his game. He can shoot. The only thing is he's not aggressive on defense.
