Playing forward in her first two years at McDonogh, Spivey recorded 45 goals and 26 assists to earn first-team All-Metro status in both seasons.

The one thing that was missing was an Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference championship. When Spivey moved to central midfield for her junior season, that changed.

It was never more apparent than during the conference title game against two-time defending champion Archbishop Spalding, in which she scored a goal and made the decisive run in overtime to set up the game-winner in a 2-1 victory.

Spivey, who is a member of the U.S. under-17 women's national team, finished the season with 21 goals and 17 assists as the No. 1 Eagles (15-1-2) had a breakthrough season. She goes into her senior season with career totals of 66 goals and 43 assists.
