Liz Bannantine

McDonogh, midfielder, senior

An All-Metro second-team selection last season, Bannantine played mainly on the defensive end but will step into a full midfield role and should emerge as a consistent offensive threat. She is headed for Princeton.

Erica Bodt

John Carroll, midfielder, senior

With her height and long reach, Bodt is one of the area's top players on the draw, controlling 68 last season to give the Patriots a jump on the opposition. Bound for Syracuse, the All-Metro first-team player also had 38 goals and 20 caused turnovers.

Taylor Cummings

McDonogh, midfielder, senior

Last season's All-Metro Player of the Year excels at all aspects of the midfield from scoring (60 goals, 15 assists) to winning draws (80) to forcing turnovers (41). Headed for Maryland, Cummings is rated the No. 1 player in ESPNHS's Class of 2012 Top 100.

Sam Darcangelo

Maryvale, midfielder, senior

The Lions' scoring leader for three years, Darcangelo had 82 goals last season and has 161 for her career. The Florida-bound All-Metro second-team selection also excels at every other facet of the midfield, including draw control and defense.

Alice Mercer

Century, midfielder, senior

The Maryland-bound veteran had 56 goals and seven assists last season, but the better part of her game might be on the defensive end. She excels at marking the opposition's best middie, and the Knights will need her leadership on a young defense.

Jenna Mosketti

Fallston, midfielder, senior

Mosketti, who is headed for Penn State, scored 34 goals and had 18 assists last season, but that was just the beginning for the All-Metro second-team player. Her versatile game rises to every big occasion anywhere on the field.
