Dyzhanay Burton

City, senior, guard

The 5-4 point guard excels at running the floor and finding her teammates. Burton averages 7.5 assists and 12.8 points per game, and had 23 points in the regional semifinal upset of Milford Mill. An All-Metro first-team selection last season, Burton has signed with the College of Charleston.

Indian Creek, senior, guard

The Eagles' floor leader does a little bit of everything in the backcourt, averaging 22 points, eight rebounds and six assists per game last season. The 5-5 All-Metro second-team pick, who has signed with George Mason, scored 35 points in the IAAM B Conference quarterfinal loss.

Danielle Edwards

McDonogh, junior, guard

For two years, Edwards has made it nearly impossible for opponents to press the Eagles. The 5-6 All-Metro point guard combines stellar ball-handling skills with timely offense, including a season-high 32 points in a 61-52 win over St. Frances. She averaged 13 points and four assists.

Qalea Ismail

Patterson Mill, junior, guard

A second-team All-Metro pick with numerous Division I offers, the 6-0 Ismail helped spark the Huskies to back-to-back regional championships after they won just two games the previous year. Also a threat inside, she averaged 15.1 points, seven rebounds and 3.85 assists.

Stephanie Jones

Aberdeen, sophomore, forward-guard

A rare freshman first-team All-Metro selection, Jones showed an unusual combination of skills and composure for a young player. At 6-1, she could post up bigger girls, strike in transition and hit 3-pointers. She led the Class 3A state champs with averages of 17.3 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.

Zelor Massaquoi

Reservoir, senior, forward-guard

Although only a little over 5-5, Massaquoi revels in outrebounding her tallest opponents and averaged a double double with 12.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. She can also handle the ball, leading the Gators with 2.5 assists per game, and will play more at guard this winter.

Taylor Murray

Annapolis Area Christian, junior, guard

Last summer, Murray played for the U.S. team that won the FIBA Americas U16 championship. The highly recruited 5-6 point guard made the team after dominating the IAAM B Conference with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 8.4 steals per game.

Beverly Ogunrinde

St. Vincent Pallotti, senior, forward

A versatile post threat who can also play on the wing, the 6-1 Ogunrinde is the most dominant inside player in the IAAM A Conference. She averaged 11.1 points per game last year and has signed with James Madison.

Teira Pendleton

Poly, senior, forward-guard

The fire behind the Engineers' drive to the Class 4A state final, Pendleton combines a fierce inside game with the ball-handling skills of a guard. She averaged 12.8 points per game last season, shooting 47 percent from the field, and had 8.4 rebounds per game.

Dionna White

Milford Mill, junior, guard

A two-time first-team All-Metro player, White leads the Millers on both ends of the court. A savvy ballhandler who averaged 17.8 points and 4.4 assists, she often defended the opposition's best player. She had 4.7 steals per game to help jump-start a lethal transition game.
