The freshman point guard made an impressive debut in her first week of varsity basketball, leading the Eagles to a 3-0 start that included a tournament title in their own Eagle Classic over the weekend.
The 5-foot-6 Murray immediately displayed her versatile skills in the team's 57-44 season-opening win against Maryvale Prep last Wednesday when she finished with 24 points, 12 steals, seven rebounds and three assists. At the Eagles Classic, she dominated play in two wins to earn tournament Most Valuable Player honors. In the Eagles' 58-24 win over Key in Friday's tournament opener, Murray accounted for 15 points, seven steals, five rebounds and five assists. In Saturday's 58-39 championship victory over Park, she finished with 15 points, 14 steals, five assists and four rebounds. In the spring, Murray was invited to the USA Women's Basketball U-16 National Team trials in Colorado Springs.
