The 5-foot-6 sophomore guard displayed her do-it-all skills to lead the Eagles to a 3-0 start, highlighted by her Most Valuable Player honors at the team's Eagle Classic over the weekend. Murray opened the season with a triple-double in a 40-30 win over Friends on Nov. 28 — totaling 13 points, 12 steals, 10 rebounds and also contributing four assists. In Friday's first game at the Eagle Classic against Chapelgate Christian — a 38-19 win — she scored 9 points and added 13 steals, 11 rebounds and six assists. In the tournament's championship game Saturday, Annapolis Area Christian defeated Park, 48-35, with Murray finishing with 15 points, 11 rebounds, 10 steals and nine assists. An All-Metro second-team selection last season as a freshman, Murray averaged 18.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists and seven steals. She set the program's single-season scoring mark with 511 points.
