KEYS TO VICTORY
The second day of the four-day tournament features St. Frances taking on Virginia-based national power Flint Hill.
The Panthers, who went 2-1 at the Chick-fil-A Classic in South Carolina last weekend, enjoys the challenging out-of-league schedule.
"January is when league play really starts fully, and you want to be prepared and battle tested," St. Frances coach Nick Myles said. "Playing in these big tournaments allows us to work out the kinks, find some weaknesses, so by the time we hit league play we can maximize the talent.
"Flint Hill has a storied history and is a great program. They have good size, a couple kids who can really shoot, so it will be a good game."
After a 9-0 start, the Panthers were upset by Poly last Wednesday before the tournament in South Carolina.
As expected, Morgan has emerged as the team's go-to player, with Richards and Bracey proving up to the varsity task as sophomores.
Flint Hill leans on the one-two punch of Anderson and Worman with Kennedy another scoring threat.
The tournament, which begins Friday and continues through Monday, features teams from seven states and Washington, D.C. Among area teams, No. 3 Poly and Mount Carmel are also participating.
