Jon Seal, Gilman
Seal, in his seventh season, led Gilman to its first Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference championship since 1995, when the Greyhounds shared the title with Archbishop Curley.
Gilman was as technically sound as any team in the metro area and often outworked its opponents throughout the course of the game. With Andrew Harris in goal, the Greyhounds were able to shut down most of their opponents in the powerful A Conference.
In addition to the MIAA title, Gilman also had an impressive nine nonconference wins. The Greyhounds won eight of their last nine games, including four against opponents ranked in the top 10 of The Baltimore Sun poll.
"The success of this year's team was a result of extremely hard work and an unselfish attitude," Seal said. "Our ability to constantly want to improve is what made the difference. Different people all season stepped up and played a major role in our success."
