KEYS TO VICTORY
One of the featured games taking place in the last of the three-day Basketball Academy at Morgan guarantees quality guard play with both teams boasting fine backcourts. The Millers, under first-year coach Silverman, have picked up right where they left off in past years. The four-time defending Baltimore County champions have once again dominated their league with a deep roster led by Watkins and Jenifer. The Red Storm was rolling in Baltimore City until hitting a rough stretch earlier this month, falling to Dunbar in double overtime Jan. 9 and then losing at home to Poly on Jan. 11. Tripp and Walker make the Red Storm go and Hubbard does a little of everything to help bring wins. Which team controls the flow of the game and how well the Red Storm can handle the Millers' inside play will go a long way in deciding the outcome. While this game has no meaning in the teams' respective league standings, it provides a valuable measuring stick and a win for either team would provide added confidence with the postseason approaching.
