KEYS TO VICTORY

Defending Baltimore City league champion Dunbar (18-2, 8-1 in league play) secured a berth in this year's title game with a 55-33 win over Digital Harbor on Friday, while City (15-4, 8-1) is in the driver's seat to claim the second spot going into the final week of the regular season. With Edmonson and Poly both having two league losses, the Knights can assure an invitation if they can get past Dunbar and then Poly on Friday. Getting past Dunbar won't be easy. The teams met in a non-league game last month at the Basketball Academy, and the Poets came away with a 58-48 win. The difference came in the fourth quarter when Dunbar executed at both ends to pull away from a tight game. The Knights will have to limit Miles (22 points in the first meeting) and stay focused for all 32 minutes. Both teams have exceptional guards and any can take over a game at a given time. City has the edge inside with twin brothers John and Juwan Grant, both athletic forces. The game presents an interesting dynamic with City having much more to play for. Will the added urgency help the Knights or will less pressure on Dunbar benefit the Poets?
