KEYS TO VICTORY
Oakland Mills remains unbeaten this season (15-0), including 12 victories against Howard County competition.
Long, a dominating transfer from Mount St. Joseph, plays well in his role as the team leader, but the Scorpions' size, athleticism and depth have also separated them from the rest of the pack.
The host Hawks (13-2, 11-1 in Howard County) are closest to Oakland Mills in the county standings and have some firepower of their own.
Moody, who averages 21.7 points per game, has enjoyed a breakthrough season and contributes much more than just scoring. In this matchup, Moody and Thomas IV will look to neutralize the Scorpions' talented frontcourt.
The Hawks, who lost to Oakland Mills on the road, 53-41, on Dec. 12, must control the tempo, box out for rebounds and make the most of each possession in order to hand the Scorpions their first loss of the season.
