Keandre Cook scored 25 points and the host Northwestern boys basketball team held off a late rally by Wilde Lake to win, 61-58, at the Christmas Mixer on Thursday night.
The Wildcats improved to 3-3. The Wildecats' rally started in the third quarter. Wilde Lake (0-7) got within 59-58 on a 3-pointer with 44 seconds left. Martez Boone made a layup with 20 seconds left, and the Wildecats missed a game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
No. 1 Aberdeen 58, Friendly (P.G.) 11: Nazje Norton scored a game-high 24 points and Stephanie Jones added 21 to lead the Eagles (4-0) past the Patriots (0-4) at the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials Holiday Tournament in Largo.
Calvert Hall 47, Archbishop Spalding 43: Daijha Thomas scored a game-high 21 points to power Calvert Hall (3-4) past Archbishop Spalding (2-7) at the IAABO tournament.
