No. 10 St. Vincent Pallotti got its second win at the Bullis Holiday Classic, beating St.Mary's, 50-31, on Saturday in girls basketball to earn a trip to today's championship.

On Friday, Pallotti beat Stone Ridge, 52-25.

The Panthers (6-2) extended their 27-22 halftime lead by outscoring the Saints 11-1, in the third quarter. Pallotti's man-to-man defense flustered St. Mary's (7-1), which was 0-for-25 from the field in the third.

Kaiya Coleman had a game-high 12 points for Pallotti, and Jen Broussard had 10 for St. Mary's.

The Saints beat Hill School (Pa.), 47-40, on Friday, and Broussard had a game-high 16 points.

Pallotti faces host Bullis School, a 69-23 winner over St. John's (D.C.), in the championship at 3:30 p.m. St. Mary's plays the Cadets in the consolation game at 1:30.

No. 3 Archbishop Spalding 52, South Shore (N.Y.) 30: Tournament Most Valuable Player Jade Scaife scored a game-high 15 points, and a 15-6 run in the third quarter helped the Cavaliers (7-0) beat the Vikings at the She Got Game Tournament at Bishop McNamara.

No. 11 City 57, Fallston 18: The Knights (5-0) limited the Cougars to five points in the second half at the Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament at Western.

Dyzhanay Burton and Koraan Sydnor led City with 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Dunbar 43, Friendship Academy (D.C.) 42: The Poets (4-0) rallied from a 13-point deficit to beat the Knights (4-1) at the Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament at Western.

Friendship's leading scorer, Kieche White (23 points), fouled out with five minutes to play and opened the door for a Dunbar comeback. LaShay Stackhouse had 16 points and 17 rebounds for Dunbar.

Boys basketball

No. 1 Mount St. Joseph 77, St.Paul's 53: Ohio State-bound Kameron Williams scored a game-high 24 points and the host Gaels (8-2) won their second straight game on back-to-back nights. The Crusaders fell to 2-3.

Mount St. Joseph beat Loyola, 56-30, on Friday.

No. 5 John Carroll 50, Mount Carmel 42: Rodney Elliott scored a game-high 16 points as the visiting Patriots (8-3) bounced back from a 40-39 loss to No. 2 St. Frances on Wednesday.

Both teams had trouble scoring early. John Carroll had 11 turnovers and went 12-for-26 from the free-throw line. But Jordan Martin (11 points) made back-to-back 3-pointers to halt a late comeback by the Cougars (3-4).

Corey Groom led Mount Carmel with 13 points. The Patriots travel to Hawaii on Wednesday to face Hilo (Hawaii) at 8:30p.m. in the opening round of the Iolani Classic.

No. 15 Liberty 40, Hammond 25: The visiting Lions wrestling team (2-0) won three of the last four matches to beat the Bears.
