Digital Harbor was having a little trouble getting some separation from Southside Academy in boys basketball Tuesday night.

But a tripledouble from Corey Mendez and a switch in defense helped the host Rams pull away and win, 55-38.

Mendez finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for Digital Harbor (2-0).

The Rams' half-court trap defense gave them a 10-point lead at halftime, but a switch to a full-court press pushed the lead up to 17 points in the second half.
