No. 2 McDonogh 72, St. Mary's 24: Dajah Logan had 10 field goals and went 2-for-2 from the free-throw line to score a game-high 22 points as the host Eagles (1-0) opened their season with a victory over the Saints (0-1).
McDonogh led 23-10 after the first quarter and held St. Mary's to single-digit scoring in the next three quarters, the lowest being two in the fourth quarter.
No. 3 Roland Park 56, Severn 34: The host Reds (1-0) extended their three-point halftime lead to 22 in the second half.
Michala Clay led Roland Park with 15points and five rebounds. The Admirals fell to 0-1.
