Fall Sports: Asher, Taylor lead Glenelg past River Hill, 4-1, in 2A East field hockey semifinal

Stephanie Asher scored all four goals and Megan Taylor had all four assists to power No. 4 and host Glenelg (13-2) to a 4-1 field hockey victory over River Hill (9-6) in a Class 2A East sectional semifinal Thursday.

The Gladiators advance to face No. 14 Marriotts Ridge in Monday's sectional final.

No. 9 Mount Hebron 7, Reservoir 0: Tianna Wallpher had two goals and two assists and Monica Linn had two goals and an assist to lead the host Vikings (14-1) past the Gators (3-10) in Class 3A East.

Mount Hebron faces No. 15 Westminster, a 3-0 winner over No. 8 Atholton, in Monday's sectional final.

No. 14 Marriotts Ridge 3, Centennial 0: Jasmine Williams had two goals to lead the host Mustangs (13-2) past the Eagles in a Class 2A East sectional semifinal. Centennial finished 7-8.

Girls volleyball

No. 8 Severna Park d. Glen Burnie, 3-0: Cara Stine had six kills and Kara Glynn went 11-for-11 serving with six aces to power the host Falcons (12-2) past the Gophers (6-4).

Severna Park won, 25-12, 25-14, 25-9.
