Roundup: Seton Keough tops John Carroll, stays unbeaten in volleyball

Ijeoma Igwe had 28 kills and six aces to power Seton Keough over visiting John Carroll in straight sets in girls volleyball Monday. Rachel Robinson added 36 assists for the Gators, who remained undefeated and improved their record to 14-0. The scores were 25-11, 25-12 and 25-20.

No. 15 Archbishop Spalding 3, McDonogh 0: Kristen Seeba had 23 kills and 13 digs to lead the Cavaliers (12-4) over the visiting Eagles in an Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland quarterfinal. Holly McDonnell added nine kills and four blocks in the win. The scores were 25-15, 25-21 and 29-27.

St. Paul's 3, St. Vincent Pallotti 0: Jillian Randolph had eight kills and MaryLouise Sparrow had seven to power the Gators (13-4) over the visiting Panthers in an Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland quarterfinal. St.Paul's will next play Archbishop Spalding.

Girls soccer

No. 5 Archbishop Spalding 5, Glenelg 0: Madeline Ostrowski scored three goals, and the Cavaliers routed the visiting Gladiators. Kelly Patterson and Sarah Martin also had goals as Spalding improved its record to 12-3-3. Cassidy Babin had five saves in the win.

No. 10 Fallston 5, John Carroll 1: Brooke Nigrin, Sam Gasior, Mary Beth Esposito, Beth Walton and Sierrah Taylor scored goals to lift the host Cougars (10-2-2) over the Patriots. Kayla Reilly had six saves in the win. Fallston led at the half 2-1.
