Loyola Blakefield boys top No. 11 McDonogh, 47-43

No. 11 McDonogh was upset by Loyola Blakefield.

With one week left in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference regular season, the Loyola Blakefield basketball team is heating up.

The host Dons (9-14, 4-11) got their fourth straight win Saturday, upsetting No. 11 McDonogh, 47-43.

Cameron Shaw (11 points) hit the go-ahead basket, a 3-pointer with two minutes left, to put Loyola ahead for good.

Bruce Moore finished with a game-high 20 points for the Eagles (16-9, 7-7), who led 21-20 at halftime.

The Dons previously upset then-No. 8 Glenelg Country, 60-57, on Jan. 15.
