Walt Moody scored the go-ahead basket and finished with a game-high 31points to lead the River Hill boys basketball team past Centennial, 55-51 in overtime, Wednesday night.

Moody made a 3-pointer in overtime to make the score 48-46 and give the visiting Hawks (10-2) the lead for good.

The Eagles (6-5) led 13-6 after the first quarter and 24-18 at halftime. But River Hill rallied in the second half, and Centennial had to force the overtime with a 40-40 score.

After Moody's 3-pointer in overtime, Centennial's Omari Ringgold (22 points) answered with a 3-pointer, but the Hawks went 8-for-11 from the free-throw line to win.

No. 6 Archbishop Spalding 44, Loyola 40: The host Dons (4-10) kept it close for most of the game, but the Cavaliers (13-5) made their free throws down the stretch to win.

Loyola tied the game at 33 with five minutes left, but in the final two minutes Spalding made five of eight foul shots.

Gary Jefferson had a game-high 20points for the Cavaliers. Mitch Cross led Loyola with 12 points.

No. 9 Arundel 72, South River 40: Markus Oliphant dunked in the fourth quarter to spark a run as the Wildcats (10-1) extended their 11-point halftime lead to more than 30.

Oliphant finished with 15 points and Austin Carroll had 17, and Raheem Ramsey added 14 for Arundel. Jahair Jones led all scorers with 21 points for the Seahawks.

Annapolis Area Christian School 69, Archbishop Curley 63: The host Friars were down by 12 points and pulled to within four with a minute to go, but no closer. Emmanuel Toney led the Eagles (10-3) with 17 points.

Mervo 69, Carver 38: Jordan Myers scored 16 points to lead the host Mustangs (4-6) past the Bears.

Randallstown 100, Sparrows Point 17: Tommy Heard had 18 points and the host Rams (7-3) led 51-2 at the break.

Franklin 52, Perry Hall 47: Emmanuel Toms scored a game-high 22 points to lead the host Indians (5-5) past the Gators.

Dulaney 61, Towson 41: Zach Hill scored 14 points and the host Lions stayed perfect at 10-0.

Girls

No. 3 McDonogh 44, No. 6 Seton Keough 32: The visiting Eagles (8-5) held the Gators without a field goal in the fourth quarter to win.

The Gators fell to 8-7.

Briana Jacobs led McDonogh with 19 points, going 13-for-18 from the line. Jameira Johnson had seven blocks and seven rebounds for McDonogh.

No. 10 River Hill 62, Centennial 35: Megan Sterling scored a game-high 22 points, and the host Hawks (9-2) used a 20-9 run in the third quarter to pull away.

River Hill tightened its defense and limited the Eagles to 12 points in the second half.

Indian Creek 50, St. Paul's 41: Cydnii Cole scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Eagles (6-3) past the Gators.
