Varsity Letters: About the bloggers
Glenn Graham has covered high school sports since 1990 for The Baltimore Sun. Graham is a Pennsylvania native and a 1989 graduate of Slippery Rock University. At Slippery Rock, he played three seasons of varsity soccer, earning all-conference honors as a junior and serving as a team captain during his senior year. In addition to high schools, he is also the beat reporter for the Baltimore Blast.
Sandra McKee has been with The Baltimore Sun since 1976, when she became the first woman sportswriter in the city since World War II. She has covered everything from high schools to Super Bowls. She was covering the Orioles when they opened their locker room to women in 1979; the Blast when it won its first soccer championship; the Capitals when they went to their first - and only - Stanley Cup final; the Kentucky Derby when Barbaro rose to ill-fated prominence; and the French Open when Andre Agassi completed a career Grand Slam. Not to mention her auto racing writing, which earned her a spot in the International Motorsports Hall of Fame.
