Austin Frederick, Matt Linardi and Conor Smith scored two goals each as No. 1 McDonogh defeated Loch Raven, 4-0, in boys soccer action Monday. The Eagles' win over the visiting Raiders improved their record to 3-0. Also, George Campbell and Jeff Weingart each had two assists.
Girls soccer
No. 2 Archbishop Spalding 6, No. 13 Bel Air 0: Madeline Ostrowski and Julia Heck scored three goals apiece as the Cavaliers (2-0-1) shut out the Braves (0-2) in interleague play Monday. Leah Lozzi had 11 saves for Bel Air.
No. 14 Patterson Mill 3, Towson 0: Goals by Ramona Schueler, Gabby Samra and Jenna Staton powered the Huskies (4-0) over the Generals on Monday. Schueler also had two assists and Morgan Webster pitched in with an assist. Towson goalkeeper Katie Flores had 12 saves.
Field hockey
No. 2 Bryn Mawr 4, St. Mary's 2: Molly Danko had two goals and Eliza Clemens and Ellie Knott added one each as the Mawrtians (1-0) defeated the Saints. Claire Edelman had two saves for the hosts.
No. 9 Notre Dame Prep 5, Archbishop Spalding 0: Kendal Packo had two goals and Anne Federico added a goal and two assists to lead the Blazers over the Cavaliers.
Girls volleyball
No. 11 Bel Air 3, Rising Sun 1: Celeste Roland had 10 kills, two aces and six digs and the host Braves (4-0) went on to beat the Tigers 25-19, 25-18, 14-25 and 25-19. Tia Williams added 10 kills.
No. 15 St. Paul's 3, St. Mary's 0: Amanda Blank had nine aces and 20 assists to lead the Gators (4-0) over the host Saints Monday. Jillian Randolph and Kendall Burdette had six kills each in the win.
