All-Harford County: Girls soccer

Sun staff

Girls Player of the Year Monica Fischer, Fallston

The dynamic senior closed out a fine four-year career by leading the Cougars (17-1) to a runner-up finish in Class 3A along with a second straight undefeated regular season. The team captain was lethal on the offensive third, bringing intensity, speed and ball skills that put constant pressure on opposing defenses. With a knack of knowing when to finish off chances or find open teammates, the two-time All-Metro first-team selection finished the season with 16 goals and 19 assists. She will play at Johns Hopkins next year.

Girls Coach of the Year Alyson Cammann, Fallston

The Cougars enjoyed an undefeated regular season, their second straight Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference championship and a runner-up finish in Class 3A, winning 17 straight games before falling to Bethesda- Chevy Chase, 2-0, in the title game. Cammann, in her second season, got the most out of a senior-laden team that played as a cohesive unit. Working alongside assistant coach Mark Hannahs, who she calls the team's second head coach, the Cougars have gone 33-2-1 in the past two seasons.
