Peyton Johnson, Catonsville, midfielder, seniorWith great passion for the game and the skills to match, Johnson closed out a stellar four-year career that brought the Catonsville program to a new level.
She scored 22 goals and added 11 assists to lead the No. 11 Comets (13-3-1) to their first Baltimore County championship, a 2-1 win over Hereford in a game in which she scored both goals.
No player in the area meant more to her team than Johnson, who showed a knack for taking over games. Her two goals in a 3-2 overtime loss to Hereford in the Class 3A North regional championship gave her 34 in her career to go with 17 assists.
