Katlyn Axenfeld
Reservoir, midfielder, junior

• Helped lead Gators to their first Howard County championship, trip to Class 3A state title game

• Scored four goals and added five assists in third year as starter

Madison Cyr
Winters Mill, forward, sophomore

• Scored Carroll County-high 14 goals to go with three assists in leading Falcons to their first Class 2A state title game

• Moved from midfield in fourth game and scored all three goals in 3-1 win over Middletown

• Scored four goals in postseason, including two tying goals and two game-winners

• Had fine first touch and uncanny knack to be in right place to finish off chances

Danielle DeLisle
Loch Raven, goalkeeper, senior

• Four-year starter and captain posted nine shutouts, including 1-0 win over Harford Tech to win Class 1A state title

• Recorded 158 saves while allowing just 14 goals in Raiders' 14-4-1 season

• Honor student maintains 4.0 grade-point average and plans to attend Virginia

• Also plays basketball and lacrosse

Samantha DeRoose
Mercy, defender, senior

• Central defender helped lead Mercy to IAAM A Conference title game

• Played first three years at center midfield before moving to defense to fill void in back line

• Combined poise, skills and vocal leadership to help Magic to six shutouts
