PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Andrew Bulls McDonogh
Gifted with a high skill level when he first transferred to McDonogh last year, Bulls added new layers to his game this season as a junior, leading the No. 3 Eagles (15-4-1) to a runner-up finish in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference.
The center midfielder finished with 15 goals and 17 assists, and, just as important, became a leader and calming influence on a young team.
COACH OF THE YEAR
Peter Glaudemans Eastern Tech
In his 15th season as head coach at Eastern Tech, Glaudemans led the Mavericks to a 13-5-1 mark and a 1-0 win over Loch Raven in the county title game - the program's fourth championship since 2001.
Glaudemans, who has guided the Mavericks to three state tournament appearances in the past five years, is 134-85-6 at the school, with 45 of the losses coming in the first five years. Eastern Tech advanced to the Class 2A North regional title game, falling to eventual state runner-up Loch Raven in a rematch of the county title game.
