PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Allie Emala; Bryn Mawr
The senior came up big on the final day of her high school career, scoring two goals to give the No. 3 Mawrtians a 2-1 upset victory over Garrison Forest for the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference championship. She scored three of her 11 goals in the tournament. But Emala wasn't known as much for her scoring as her powerful presence at center midfield. Skilled, physically strong and highly competitive, Emala contributed wherever and whatever the Mawrtians needed.

Jeanette Budzik; Bryn Mawr
In her 22nd season with the Mawrtians, Budzik built a team that had a few ups and downs into the IAAM A Conference champions. During the regular season, the No. 3 Mawrtians couldn't get by Garrison Forest. On their third try, in the title game, they won 2-1. Budzik, who has coached six A Conference champion teams since 1997, credited the team's senior leadership with putting it over the top. She also changed formations to utilize her speed and strong midfield.
