Player of the Year
Greg McBride, GilmanMcBride was a force all season for the Greyhounds. The forward often got the attention of two or sometimes three opposing players in the attacking third of the field. He finished with 17 goals and 12 assists, helping Gilman reach the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference semifinals. McBride scored the winning goal in Gilman's 2-0 victory over John Carroll in the MIAA quarterfinals before the team lost to Mount St. Joseph in the semifinals. McBride is also a standout lacrosse player and has committed to play that sport at North Carolina next season.
Coach of the Year
Jon Seal, GilmanSeal is the technician behind a soccer resurgence at Gilman over the past few years. Considered by fellow MIAA A Conference coaches to be a sleeper pick this season, the Greyhounds finished 13-6-3 and lost in the conference semifinals to seventh-ranked Mount St. Joseph. The Greyhounds also played McDonogh hard twice during the regular season, tying the Eagles, 1-1, and losing, 1-0. Gilman loses only three starters, and Seal is looking to continue to build on his solid foundation.
