The senior running back carried the ball 18 times for 211 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bulls to a 41-14 win over Milford Mill in the Class 3A North regional title game Friday.

For the season, DePaola has totaled 1,580 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on 188 carries as the No.7 Bulls (10-2) try to win their first state title since 2002.

A three-year varsity starter, DePaola, 5 feet 11 and 200 pounds, also has three interceptions playing free safety, including one he brought back 102 yards for a score. Hereford, which reached the state title game last season, will take an eight-game winning streak into Friday's semifinal against Wilde Lake.
