The senior quarterback-defensive back was a major factor in leading the Bluebirds (4-3) to a 21-17 upset win over then-No. 11 Perry Hall on Friday.
In Kenwood's spread offense, Edwards accounted for 220yards, running the ball 25times for 120 yards and two touchdowns and also completing six of nine passes for 100yards and a touchdown. Defensively, he finished with fivetackles and had oneinterception as the Bluebirds beat their Baltimore County rival for the first time since 2002.
This season, Edwards has 1,105 total yards in his first year at quarterback, rushing for 668 and throwing for 437. In his second season starting on defense, he has four interceptions and 100return yards.
