The junior won three races at short and long distances last week.
On Dec. 28, in the Frostbite Invitational at the Prince George's Sports Complex, Chambers won the 300-meter dash in 34.9 seconds. The time was the second best in the area this season. The best time, 34.88, also was turned in by Chambers, at the Bishop Loughlin meet in New York.
On Friday at a 13-team Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association league meet at the complex, Chambers won the 55-meter dash in 6.2 seconds and the 500-meter run in 69 seconds.
While excelling in the individual events, he also ran on Curley's 800 relay, which finished second, and in the 1,600, which finished third on Friday.
OTHERS CONSIDERED: Karl Green, Mount St.Joseph, wrestling; George Jackson, Digital Harbor, basketball
