The junior striker led the Panthers to their first state championship, scoring the only goal of the title game victory over Pocomoke. Pikesville entered the playoffs 1-8-1, but Nazarov scored four goals and had two assists in the final three games of the playoffs. Against Pocomoke on Saturday, he made a left-footed shot off a bouncing ball into the lower right corner just 28 seconds into the game, but it held up in the 1-0 victory. In the 3-2 overtime semifinal victory over Fort Hill the previous weekend, he scored the game-winner on a header. Nazarov finished the season with five goals and five assists — more than half of that in the playoffs. He plans to play soccer in college.
