South River, senior, guard

* Slashing 5-foot-9 guard became more complete, aggressive offensive player and excelled on defense


* Averaged 19 points, eight rebounds, 7.5 steals, three assists as Seahawks won their first Anne Arundel County championship in school history

* Scored 26 against Class 4A state champion North Point, 20 against Riverdale Baptist

* Finished with 1,124 career points; signed with College of Charleston

Dyzhanay Burton

City, junior, guard

* An exceptional passer with keen eye for her teammates, the 5-4 point guard averaged 7.5 assists

* Led the Class 3A North regional runner-up in scoring with 12.8 points; excelled on defense with 6.7 steals per game

* Scored 17 in the Knights' Baltimore City Division I championship loss to Digital Harbor; scored 23 in regional semifinal upset of Milford Mill

* Drawing interest from College of Charleston, Towson, Delaware State and DePaul

Danielle Edwards

McDonogh, sophomore, guard

* Commanding 5-6 point guard made it nearly impossible to press the IAAM A Conference runner-up

* Averaged 13 points, four assists, 5.5 steals; had assist-to-turnover ratio of 2-to-1

* Had six triple doubles, scored in double-digits 23 times

* Second-team pick last season; scored 32 points in win over St. Frances in which she hit 20 of 23 free throws
