In 2008, Western Tech linebacker Chris Mason-Hale suffered a paralyzing spinal injury during a football scrimmage. In the months afterward, Mason-Hale didn't know if he'd ever walk again. Former Western Tech football player Chris Mason-Hale has had plenty to smile about after taking his first steps since suffering a paralyzing spinal injury in a 2008 scrimmage."He definitely has his old swagger," said Matt Quayle, a Western Tech assistant football coach who regularly visits Mason-Hale.
