Player of the Year: Garrett Price, Liberty

After exclusively playing catcher last season, Price split his time on the mound and behind the plate this spring, excelling at both positions. The senior batted .500, recording hits in all of Liberty's final 20 games. He also led Carroll County with 27 RBIs and finished with seven doubles, a triple, a home run and a .573 on-base percentage.

He was 5-1 -- tying for the county lead in wins -- with a 3.65 ERA, striking out 29 in 38 1/3 innings. As a catcher, he was one of the county's best at blocking the ball and throwing, and called his own game behind the plate

Coach of the Year: Bryan Harman, Westminster

A year after capturing the Class 4A state title, Harman's team was a darkhorse at best entering Carroll County play this season. Largely bereft of star power, the Owls consistently got the most out of their talent, winning the county title with a 5-1 mark.

Included was a monumental comeback victory over North Carroll in which they rallied from a 10-2 deficit in the seventh for an 11-10 win. Westminster finished 13-7 overall, tying North Carroll for second place in the Monocacy Valley Athletic League's Chesapeake Conference.
