Regarded as one of the finest players in his class by many national publications, Carr averaged 32 points, six assists and five rebounds with 117 steals to lead the Clippers (25-2) to Baltimore City and Class 4A North region titles, along with a trip to the state championship game.

A YouTube sensation for his acrobatic moves to the basket, Carr, who surpassed 1,000 career points midway through the season, showed he had substance to go with flash in leading the Clippers to the state championship game, a 76-72 setback to undefeated North Point.

"The talk about last year was how he was a one-man show. So this season, we put a lot of emphasis on 'Can you lead your team to [titles] and make the players around you better?' He did that," Patterson coach Harry Martin said.
