Carrington Akosa

Western Tech, senior

He won two state titles at last year's Class 1A championship meet. The Wolverines will need his help when they move to Class 2A this season.

Robert Carter

Long Reach, senior

He's the kind of multitalented athlete that coaches love. Carter can hurdle, sprint and run relays, and likely will score plenty of points again.

Ryan Forsyth

Severna Park, senior

In the fall, he won the Class 4A state title in cross country as the Falcons also captured the state crown. Forsyth's strong running set the tone for Severna Park's dominant fall.

Chandler Kennell

Century, senior

Kennell had the best effort in the pole vault (14 feet) in any of the four classes when winning the Class 2A state title last winter. That was his personal best and came at the right time.

John Mead

Century, senior

He can run middle and long distance and help out with relays. Mead helped the Knights to the Class2A state crown last winter and should be a big force again this season.

Robert Miller

City, sophomore

After a tremendous freshman year indoors and outdoors, Miller's going to be one of the top sprinters in the state this winter. He can do sprints, hurdles and relays, and could be a point-scoring machine at City.
