A member of one of Baltimore's most prominent soccer families, Mangione led the No. 1 Eagles to a 2-0 opening weekend with three goals and three assists. She had two goals and an assist in a 4-0 victory over Episcopal, Pa., and a goal and two assists in a 5-1 victory over Sacred Heart, Ky., at the McDonogh Tournament. An All-Metro first-team pick last season, the senior attacking midfielder was named All-State and All-South Region. Mangione, who has committed to Loyola College, helped her Laurel Wildcats club team win two straight State Cup titles, the most recent at Under-17. She has a 3.8 grade point average and plans a career in medicine.
