Girls Athlete of the Week (Oct. 16, 2013): Brooke Stevens, Catonsville, field hockey( Baltimore Sun / October 14, 2013 )
The senior forward has played a major role in the No. 10 Comets' 11-1 season, highlighted by an impressive stretch last week that included six goals and seven assists in three wins. Stevens, a four-year varsity player, opened the week with a two-goal, two-assist performance in a 4-1 win over Towson on Oct. 8. On Thursday, she finished with four goals and three assists in a 10-0 win over Pikesville. Against previously undefeated and then-No. 8 Mount de Sales on Friday, she accounted for two assists in a 3-2 victory. Stevens, who maintains a weighted 5.16 grade point average, now has 19 goals and eight assists this season. Also a standout lacrosse player, she has committed to play at High Point.
