The senior quarterback led the Bears to the biggest upset in the Baltimore area so far this season, a 47-38 win over then-No. 2 River Hill last Friday night that ended the Hawks' 30-game winning streak. Martin, who had a hand in all seven of the Bears' touchdowns, threw for 441 yards -- just 34 shy of the state record. He completed 31 of 41 passes and threw for six touchdowns. He had seven carries for 20 yards and one touchdown. Two years ago, Martin also started when the No. 13 Bears were the last team to beat River Hill. This season, he is 81-for-123 passing for 1,303 yards, 18 touchdowns and two interceptions and has run 54 times for 327 yards and two touchdowns. Martin, who has a 3.55 GPA, also plays baseball for the Bears.
