The senior led the No. 12 Cavaliers to a key Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference victory over then-No. 12 St. Frances, 35-34, with his stellar performance on both sides of the ball. At quarterback, Abey, 6 feet 2, 205 pounds, ran for 189 yards and two touchdowns and completed 9 of 14 passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns. At safety, he had two interceptions, including one that set up the second touchdown and a 14-0 lead. This season, Abey has 118 carries for 835 yards and 10 touchdowns and is 42-for-81 passing for 619 yards and eight touchdowns with three interceptions. On defense, he has 21 tackles and four interceptions. Also the MIAA A Conference wrestling champion at 195 pounds and a rugby player, Abey has a 3.5 GPA and has committed to play football at Buffalo.
