The junior goalie led the Mustangs to two wins at the inaugural C. Milton Wright Invitational on Saturday, highlighted by a 3-0 victory over then-No. 1 Garrison Forest that ended the Grizzlies' 37-game unbeaten streak. Rhodes, a three-year varsity player and member of the USA Field Hockey Futures program, had eight saves in the win over Garrison Forest and then added two in a 2-0 win over then-No. 6 Notre Dame Prep. The Mustangs (2-0) moved from No. 7 in the poll to No. 2 with their strong performance last weekend. In 18 games last season, Rhodes saved 89 of the 102 shots that came her way. She recorded a 2-0 shutout against Perryville last October to give the Mustangs their first Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference championship. She's also been a standout sprinter for the Mustangs' track and field team since her freshman year.
