Rip Hamilton's 9-year run in Detroit, is coming to an end. The Pistons are waiving the veteran guard, according to multiple reports.
Hamilton, who was not at the Pistons first training camp Friday night, has a two year contract worth $22 million. That contract will be bought out by Detroit, and he will then be able to sign with another team.
Rip spent the last nine seasons in a Pistons uniform and won an NBA Championship with Detroit in 2004.
The Pistons also announced tonight they have signed deals with their rookies Brandon Knight and Vernon Macklin.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
