Grand Rapids Griffins rookie forward Gustav Nyquist has been selected to play in the upcoming AHL All-Star Game on Monday, January 30 in Atlantic City.
Nyquist, 23, leads the Griffins with 30 points (9 goals, 21 assists) and is tied for second in the entire AHL for rookie scoring.
He is currently with the Griffins parent club, the Detroit Red Wings, after being called up last week. He is the lone Griffins representative selected to play in Altantic City at the end of the month.
