Michigan State's 70 mile trip to Mount Pleasant was a worthy road trip as the Spartans beat host Central Michigan 41-7 on Saturday at Kelly-Shorts Stadium.
MSU had a 24-0 lead at halftime and kept the Chips scoreless until an interception returned for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Michigan State's offense has allowed more points this year than the Spartans defense. MSU beat Boise State last weekend with the Broncos only touchdown coming off an interception return.
Spartan quarterback Andrew Maxwell threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns, while Le'Veon Bell had 70 yards on 18 carries with two scores.
MSU hosts Notre Dame next weekend at Spartan Stadium.
