Sun coverage: Where are they now?
The Ravens' Justin Armour is on his way to the end zone on a 54-yard pass play that lifted the Ravens over the Falcons, 19-13, in overtime on Oct. 3, 1999. (Sun photo by Kim Hairston)
Where are they now? -- Justin Armour
Eight years later, Justin Armour can picture the play: a 54-yard pass that he caught for a game-winning touchdown in overtime.
Where are they now? -- Robert Bailey
He was one cog in the Ravens' wheel of fortune, a role player who fit nicely on the most grudging defense in NFL history.
Where are they now? -- Earnest Byner
He might coach for the Washington Redskins, but not everything in Earnest Byner's home is bathed in burgundy and gold. A vase on the mantel commemorates Byner's induction into the Ravens' Ring of Honor. A leather jacket in his closet bears the Ravens crest.
Where are they now? -- Ben Cavil
As a Raven, Ben Cavil was as big as a house. Now, he's selling them.
Where are they now? -- Tony Vinson
His name might not ring a bell, but Tony Vinson rang a few of his own among Ravens opponents during his two years in Baltimore.
Where are they now? -- Scott Mitchell
He wore No. 19 and was the coach's hand-picked choice in 1999 to lead the Ravens upward.
Where are they now? -- Steve Everitt
Though center Steve Everitt played only one year with the Ravens, the legacy he left was a lulu. Everitt wore Megadeth T-shirts, had a blond ponytail and hosted a weekly radio show on 98 Rock on which he played heavy metal music.
Where are they now? -- Jay Graham
His first NFL start was a doozy. Ten years ago, Ravens rookie Jay Graham rushed for 154 yards, slashing through the defense in an effort he'll never forget.
Where are they now? -- Harry Swayne
Harry Swayne's calling has always been the same: lead others to daylight.
Where are they now? -- Eric Zeier
Ten years ago, the curtain fell on Memorial Stadium. Fittingly, in the final pro football game played on 33rd Street, it was a strong-armed quarterback who brought down the house.
Where are they now? -- Brian Kinchen
Four years later, Brian Kinchen still wonders: Was he dreaming, or did the New England Patriots really coax a washed-up player out of retirement to help them win the February 2004 Super Bowl?
Where are they now? -- Greg Montgomery
He was a rebel, a flake, a misfit in a game that demands conformity. He showed up for work with bleached hair, a pierced tongue and a right leg that could whale the tar out of the football.
Where are they now? -- Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson might be running for public office, but the former Raven still talks like a football player.
Where are they now? -- Rod Woodson
Considered by most to be past his prime, he arrived in Baltimore, rejuvenated the ballclub and led his team to a championship. Frank Robinson did it for the Orioles. Rod Woodson did it for the Ravens.
Where are they now? -- Stoney Case
About 10 quarterbacks ago, the Ravens handed the job to Stoney Case. He was tall and good-looking, with a slew of college records -- a poster boy for the young franchise.
Where are they now? -- Sam Gash
His name seemed a fitting allusion to what he did on the field. For two years, fullback Sam Gash cleared paths for Ravens running backs, bulldozed would-be tacklers and sprang Jamal Lewis and Terry Allen for sometimes hefty chunks of yardage.
