Give inside linebacker Tavares Gooden a plate of fettuccine and shrimp and the rookie is a happy camper. But there is one culinary dish that will drive Gooden away.
Q: Is there a food you won't eat?
A: I don't eat fish. Growing up, I always had a fish tank. One day, my father put some fish on a plate, and I asked what it was. He said, "Fish." I said, "I can't eat my pets." I always thought it was funny to eat something that was your pet. Ever since then, I've never eaten fish. I think of them as my little pets that I had in that tank.
Q: If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be?
A: Eddie Murphy. That's the guy right there. Beverly Hills Cop 2, that's my favorite movie. I know a lot of lines from it.
